07 GSXR750
so I have never had the chance to actually ride one for a extended period of time. I have always thought I was a litre bike guy, I've rode 600's and never liked em that much but all i can say is the 07 gsxr 750 is a REALLY fun bike.
the bike I rode was a 07 750 with about 2000 miles on it, taylor made slip on, PCIII, 520 conversion (-1, +1), and BMC filters. overall fit and finish are really good on the bike. after having time to actually look over it. the bike is a friends of mine and actually i put all the above mods on myself a couple months ago. We put about 250 miles of canyons under the tires today.
the taylormade is a good looking pipe but I have a friend with a arrow gp replica that sounds and looks SO much better. the taylormade droned all day and was LOUD as hell.
the bikes seating position is good, the bike is really thin comaped to the 1000rr and RC51 I'm used to. stock foot postion is a little cramped for me, but its nothing some rearsets couldn't fix. the seat is definately not as comfortable as the 1000rr. I found myself getting off the seat alot more then usual to stretch.
Now to my riding impressions. Overall its a killer bike. Its powerband is HUGE and loves it between 7000 and 14000 rpm's. It was probably ones of the funnest bikes i've ever rode. I wouldn't trade my 1000rr for one but as a street bike and track bike I can see how its hard to beat. I had a slight thing towards suzukis as being a squid bike but I can happily say that, that steriotype is goin away. squid bike or not a 07 gsxr750 may find its way into my garage real soon.
